Master Bedroom

Our Master Bedroom still has a long way to go. If you remember, this is what it looked like when we moved in.

To be honest it doesn't look much different from this now. The wall of blue wallpaper has been stripped and painted. Almost half of all the floral wallpaper is removed but there is still a lot to go and our poor drywall has taken a beating with the removal process. So needless to say, there is still a lot of work to be done and frankly I am having trouble getting motivated.
on the positive side, fabric.com was offering free shipping on orders of $50 or more, so when I ordered the fabric for our pallet ottoman, I added on some pillow fabric for our Master Bedroom and it is finally here!

Then for Christmas my awesome Mom got us our Duvet Cover from Urban!

so I updated our mood board from the original post on the Master Bedroom.

The Land of Fancy Soaps and Towels You Aren’t Allowed to Use

Ahhhhhh...The bathroom, or "wash room" as my college professor would hammer into our heads.  The one room in my house that we have not touched.  It is currently the color of a #2, how fitting, and lacks storage space horribly!!!  Therefore it is very cluttered.  I have no room to do anything, this morning as I was curling my hair (which is a task in itself because the outlet is on the opposite side of the room as the vanity) I dropped my curling iron onto the ground and peices went flying.  A little surgery and it was good as new, but GEEZ I do not know how much longer I can deal with this!  So this moring, exploring bathrooms is what I have been doing:)
I have always been a fan of a white bathroom and this one is fabulous!

I LOVE this vanity, and my hubby could totally make it!  The yellow mirror on the dark walls is FAB as well!

This is my favorite modern bathroom by far!  All of the modern fixtures with the eclectic touch totally ROCKS my SOCKS!

I love all of the white with the wood tones and that floor, OH that floor!!

This rug is to die for!!  Must begin hunting for that!

Niche

Do you have one of those homes where the builder decides to put niches in?  Or perhaps you wanted the niches.  Sometimes you have a beautiful peice to display so a niche is perfect, but other times you do not and you are constantly on the hunt on finding the perfect item for your niche.  Usually has to be skinny and tall and beautiful enough to be displayed on its own.  Here are some common displays of that.

I do not know about you, but these niches just are not doing it for me.  Are these peices really worth of their own spotlight?  Then you have the painted niche.

And the niche in a staircase.

To me, these are the worst, honestly...what are you supposed to do with this?
Well my best friend Lindsey has one of these, poor thing.  Lucky for her, hers is in her living room and makes for the perfect spot to put her TV.  Hmmmmm, who wants a TV that looks like it is stuck in a hole.  This "hole"  needed some sprucing up and Lindsey did that and then some.  Need not feel sorry for her any longer, feel JEALOUS!

With some wallpaper, will-power, adhesive and major measuring, Lindsey has made her niche LALALALALOVELY!!!

Month of May.

"April Showers bring May Flowers"....supposedly.  All I know is that I was tucked in all weekend because of the rain and I do believe it is now May and not April.  Which the beginning of May means a new desktop wallpaper! I discovered Deanne Cheuk and love happened.  Meet my new Desktop Wallpaper.

Wayne Pate

Happy first day of MARCH! I can not believe that it is already here, with February being the short month, March always seems to creep up on me, but somehow Spring...not the case. Spring can never come soon enough:) With a new month comes a new desktop wallpaper. This is something that "D" at Design Sponge does monthly and I think it is a great idea! It will not only open doors to new finds but it will be nice to see something different every month, who knows it could get some new creative juices flowin'!

Thanks to my friends at
Design Sponge I have discovered a new digital art love, Wayne Pate who works from his brownstone in Brooklyn, NY. He is a designer/illustrator and SO CREATIVE! Lets just say...his digital image has made it as my 1st Desktop Wallpaper!

With Spring on the brain, and it being the 1st day of March, this one seemed ideal:) I am always a sucker for black and white and this green, ohhhh this green!

Since my blog is really all about being inspired, I challenge all of you to do the same and change your desktop wallpaper with the change of every month. I think changing it and seeing it will inspire you to do something wonderful everyday, and thanks to Dave Cuzner at Herman Miller, who recently interviewed Wayne, I was able to come up with some photos of Wayne's home, which is also his studio! Check out the interview here.

Fun and Funky Interior Spaces

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Sorry I missed out on blogging yesterday:( Today I thought that I would just share some photos that I have collected over the past month of blogging, AKA time to clean out the "My Pictures" File........

How cool does this collection of photographs look above this wild print sofa!

One of my favorite rooms by Suzanne Kasler, the colors and patterns are SO PLAYFUL!

LOVE the pink wall between the black bookcases and the horns on the mantle!

This room is so fun and seems so easy, I like that!

WOW! What to look at, this room is adorable!

Again with the horns on the mantle! This room is so cheery, the blue is AWESOME!
I think I am IN LOVE with the white:)

WALLPAPER-Obsessed!

Good Morning! For having the best weekend EVER with my husband on our 1st Valentine's the start of this week has been a total drag! Already calf deep in snow it is expected to snow ALL DAY. Welcome to the midwest:) I know that I am ready for blue skies and sunshine...for those of you who are getting it, I am JEALOUS. Oh, but this is nothing a little inspiration can't fix! Today, I want to be inspired by wallpaper, my love.
ENJOY!

This muted tone of blue wallpaper takes the back seat while the vintage tufted purple sofa is the main event! Pops of pink and red tones make this room candy for the eye.

Lost in purple lushness, this neutral bed helps ground this lavendar beauty!

Bringing together the turquoise and cobalt blue paint colors in the room, this bold pattern wallpaper is an AWESOME contrast to the wood floors and exposed brick.

WOW! What was once a plain cupboard is now a beautiful masterpeice. Consider adding wallpaper to your furniture doors for an AWESOME outcome!

Once a formica top, now a beautiful spot to rest your teacup:)

Inspired yet?
